The current Climate Control allows for a fixed temperature number for the driver side and separately for the front passenger side. So when the temperature deviates from the set number, either the heater or the AC, and the fan, will blast off. This is both anti-green and inconvenient for the driver and/or the passenger. Most people have a comfort zone that covers a range of temperature, not just one number. Why not design the Climate Control to accommodate an adjustable range of temperature to be set by the user as his/her comfort temperature zone. Then if the temperature falls within the range, do nothing. This will save fuel and reduce irritation of the users, and the users need not constantly adjust the temperature for different seasons. And the lower left quadrant of My Ford Touch need not be used often and may be partially carved out to accommodate other MFT use.
