Pioneer Diesel in the USA

Ford has amazing diesel technology in the foreign markets. Ford has a good reputation here in the USA as an automaker, however recently they've not been ranked highly by Consumer Reports. A possible solution is to bring their RELIABLE diesel technology to the USA for small to mid size vehicles. Bring the 3.2l diesel to the US market. It's reliable technology and as an added bonus it would help drive down fuel costs for consumers. Lead the movement FORD - step up and Drive It!

Mathiew Guinett Ford would have to sell 200 000 diesel units a year in the USA to break even. The gas is still to cheap in the States, at 6$ and more a gallon, Americans would start to understand that modern Diesel are quiet, don't smell and do start on a cold morning. Plus the achieve REAL world 40 mpg.

Randall R America is scared of diesel. Don’t know why. There should be either hybrid or diesel as a best choice for high MPG.
