I believe the T-bird Super Coupe also used a simple system like this; basically a supercharger than can be turned on and off at the drivers will, or even just at idle. Imagine; a GT500 that could get almost 30 mpg. It's not too much of a stretch seeing as it already gets 23 mpg on the highway. Maybe it could be a step towards "Responsible Performance"
