This may sound foolish--- Remove --steering wheel--- brakess --- gas pedal and transmittion...... Replace with a hydraulic system... All four wheels have their own hydraulic motors.... Driven by a pump instead of a transmittion.... A central "stick" placed between the driver and passenger for steering, speed, breaking signals etc: Starve the wheels of fluid, and that is the breaking system ... This also naturaly becomes a 4 wheel drive .... Stick moved to right or left controles the direction of travel... Stick forward moves car forward ---stick at center---car stops ... Stick towards back---reverses the car.
Money saving??? no rotors .. no brakes... no transmittion ... no steering box or wheel ..... Very few moving parts---yet full control......... Thanks for listyening ............Larry
