Composite outer body panels
Instead of sheet metal exterior body panels which are heavy and harder to replace when welded why not use plastics and composites reinforced with organic fibers such as hemp? This will save weight and keeping the inner steel structure will retain resilience and rigidity while attaching the exterior cosmetic panels by nut/bolt or bonded/glue configuration making panel replacement easier if damaged.
