Make wiring harnesses universal so that all options available on a model can be added at a later date if desired. Sometimes you can't afford all the option you want. When u want to add later you have to modify your wiring. Modified wiring degrades dependability if not done by a qualified person and is never as clean as factory. Another benefit would be at the dealer. If a vehicle did not have something you wanted it could be done at the time or purchase.
