The Taurus could use a thorough reworking of its interior with space efficiency in mind. It is a large family sedan, however due to certain interior dimensions especially with the extremely thick center console, it doesnt FEEL roomy. Instead it feels very cramped inside. Many well known reviewers including Consumer Reports have made similar statements. Hopefully this change can be made in the next generation Taurus. Im sure it will be much improved. =)
