From my first car, a '65 Mustang, to my current, an '03 GT convertible, I LOVE my car! ( I also had a '69 T-Bird with a 429 engine in between). I am in need of a new convertible (I think the Mustang should not come in any other style), but need a place to put my purse and shoes (can't drive in 3-1/2" heels without digging into the floor mat AND floor). I am sure the center console could be used for this purpose with minor reconfiguration.
