Power tailgate lock/unlock
The Ford trucks should have a power tailgate lock/unlock. Dealer says to keep the tailgate locked because it's easy to steal, especially with the built in step and handle. Problem is you should be able to lock and unlock with a power switch in the cab or it could just work with the rest of the door locks.

Thomas Roman This is a great idea! I switched from an SUV to my truck to carry small power tools for home improvement jobs. I installed a locking (hard cover) Bak-Flip cover on the truck. The problem is to remember to manually lock the tailgate when chasing down materials. A automatic tailgate lock the works with the doors would be great.
