I have had Toyotas and it let's me know the lights are on. I have the auto lights in my 2012 but if there is a section of highway that requires lights I have to manually turn on and I forget I have done this. Needless to say my lights remain ON without me knowing. Only if I have on the dashboard telling me my lights were on so I can switch back to auto lights.
