I recently test-drove a 2011 Fiesta hatchback and found it lacks only two things that would make it right for me. They are: a Center arm rest and more space in the back for stuff. I currently drive a Saturn SW2 with a manual transmission. It is, importantly, a hatchback, it has seating for four people, space for their stuff and it gets good gas mileage. It also has a center arm rest. If you were to lengthen the Fiesta hatchback to about the length of the sedan it be a great replacement for my aging Saturn. In my test ride I found he Fiesta to be a lot quieter on the road than is my Saturn, a big plus.
