to make it easy if say something is wrong with the car we can hand the dealership the chip and they can see it on the computer instead hooking it up to the engine scan.some times they don't see or hear in the car and makes it hard to fine. so if there is a chip that we can pull out and hand them and see what is unknown problems are and other problems that can not fine wrong in the engine it can save us money and get the right problem fix.
