Most Americans have had cellphones for 10+ years. But I have never seen a slot, tray, cradle or dock designed to place your phone. There is a real need to be able to place your phone in a convenient place that it won't slide out of and break. Some where on the console would be nice for smart phones with gps. My cup holders are just not up to the task.
