Gaming Mustang Will be in Upcoming Movie

A suped-up, tricked-out Ford Mustang was center stage at The Download: EA 2013 Preview event, as part of the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. This heavily-modified Mustang will be one of the stars of the upcoming “Need for Speed” movie, based on the popular EA video game series of the same name.

The custom Mustang was designed specifically for the movie and features a custom wide body, 22 inch alloy wheels and larger air intakes to help feed the V8 under the hood. This Pony is no prop either. We’re told that the Mustang will be featured prominently throughout the movie, as it is driven by the film’s star Aaron Paul.

In addition to the Mustang, the film will also feature “The Beast,” a Ford F-450 Super Duty┬«. In addition to the vehicles shown in the movie, a specially-modified Ford Mustang camera car will be used to capture unique racing footage unlike anything movie-goers have seen before.

Fans will be able to take the custom Mustang out for an early virtual spin when EA releases the latest installment of the video game franchise “Need for Speed Rivals” on November 19th, 2013. The movie is scheduled to debut on March 14, 2014.

This is gearing up to be one of the coolest showcases of Ford vehicles in film history. But there are other great examples too. Tell us about some of your favorite Ford moments in Film or TV by leaving a comment below, or submitting a story!
