Introducing the Special Edition 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
APR

As if the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor hasn’t stood out enough since it hit the streets – and the dirt – in 2010, Ford has now added a package that kicks things up a major notch. You might be asking yourself, how do you take a highly capable and functional pickup with cutting-edge technology, and then make it even more awesome? The answer is the new 2014 Raptor Special Edition!

The Raptor Special Edition builds upon the current Raptor Luxury Package, adding Ruby Red Metallic paint (the pickup is also available in Tuxedo Black Metallic) and box-side graphics, as well as interior toucheslike Brick Red seat bolsters with black inserts and cloth honeycomb highlights, console top finish panel, and center stack and door panel appliqué accents.

The Raptor retains what has made it a best-seller – with record-setting sales in five of the past six months – such as the 6.2-liter V-8 engine, a six-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode and SelectShift Automatic® and off-road-designed systems and components that include a Torsen® limited-slip differential, Hill Descent Control™, a grille-mounted camera and industry-exclusive beadlock-capable wheels for even more traction in rugged conditions.

Body styles offered continue to be the four-door SuperCrew and two-door SuperCab. The Raptor Special Edition will go on sale in the fall of 2013.

Richard G Let buyers build their own trucks. Lariat is ugly beside XLT. Nicer colors too. Next build truck lower. Parents and very pregnant middle aged wife combined with low clearance parking a disaster. Better yet bring new ranger over here and drop f150

Mike This looks like a good place to comment about, and congratulate Ford Motor Company Design Engineers for the newly designed tie-downs in the bed of the 2013 F150. Thank you. Us Wisconsonites appreciate that we may now easily open our bottles of Old Milwaukee when out in the woods, or at a tailgate party.

Bobby Holmes I want the new ford ranger that is in the Phillipines. I do not understand why it is not available in the US!

Hugh O I have to agree with Dominic p. I feel you have plenty of packages for your trucks and another interior styling and exterior colour (which looks fantastic BTW) just isn't enough. It's. Up there with all the special Editions lost in the fog.

Mike Not too much to say on f150, am very disappointed that you stopped producing Rangers. Guess I will have to start looking at Toyota or Nissan

dominic p How do you take a highly capable and functional pick-up with cutting-edge technology and then make it even more awesome, I ask myself? Well, painting it pretty Ruby Red and giving it an interior "make-over" wouldn't be my answer. How about going for a fully capable and functional truck by adding a front differential lock, start focusing on deep water crossing capabilities, fix any issues regarding durability and reliability, give it a six-speed manual (How awesome is a manual? REAL AWESOME!!! Can you imagine a 302 Boss Mustang only available in a select-shift automatic transmission? How awesome is that? NOT AWESOME)., etc... The sky is the limit to what you can do before you go and make the Raptor all pretty and call it special.
