Go Further is about all of us. It’s about all the people who challenge themselves, go the extra mile, and do whatever it takes, because it’s the right thing to do. With the holidays coming up, we thought it’d be a perfect time to give a shout out to a few of the people who told us about using their Ford vehicles to make the world a better place.
This one really got our attention. Jeff recently shared his story with us—how he used his F-150 Lariat to help his neighbors in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. He was able to evacuate his family to safety, but he didn’t stop there. He headed back to town where he was able to clear some debris, help evacuate neighbors and get food and water to those who needed it.
And Frank M. submitted a picture of his ride with the bed loaded up with food for the food bank. As you can imagine, a Ford truck can hold a lot of food going to the hungry. And Frank took advantage of every square inch.
And then there’s Maria. Maria told us how Tails Humane Society, in DeKalb, Ill., has been using a donated Ford van to drive homeless animals to adoption events in the area—and eventually to their new homes. She estimates that the van, which has racked up more than 500,000 miles, has helped thousands of puppies and dogs find their new homes.
Frank, Maria and Jeff embrace the Go Further spirit. And there are plenty more examples out there. Do you have your own story of how you use your Ford vehicle to do some good? Share it!
