First Look at the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150

After creating nine Harley-Davidson™  F-150 models, six Harley-Davidson Super Duty F-250 and F-350 models and a Harley-Davidson F-450 edition truck, you might think that the team would run out of new tricks. Far from it! The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 mixed it up with a new standard 6.2-liter V8 engine and plenty of technology upgrades in addition to new interior and exterior styling.

Some might argue that the big news is the new big engine. A 6.2-liter V8 engine is now standard, making it the most powerful and capable Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 ever offered. The engine, which debuted earlier this year on the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor, delivers 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 also offers an improved maximum trailer towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.

There is plenty of technology options to give customers what they are looking for. Key to helping customers take advantage of all the capability offered by the Harley-Davidson F-150 is a standard 4.2-inch LCD (liquid crystal display) productivity screen. This screen offers menu options, giving the customer important information related to fuel economy and towing performance. The menu is navigated through a five-way button on the steering wheel and is positioned between the tachometer and speedometer.

The exterior of the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 offers a bold front fascia and six-bar-shaped billet-style satin chrome grille and boasts Harley-Davidson satin chrome badging. The truck also has a lowered appearance because of a standard, fully integrated deployable running board.

Standard are 22-inch Euroflange forged wheels with a polished center wheel cap and low-profile performance tires. The paint selection is classic Harley-Davidson Tuxedo Black and Ingot Silver.

New graphics on the hood and body side of the truck are executed in an engine-turned finish and feature dimensional satin chrome Harley-Davidson lettering. The graphics are reminiscent of the speed scallops used on hot rods.

Interior trim panels are covered in Tuxedo Black paint, while the door scuff plate and console lid also carry the engine-turned finish. All interior chrome surfaces feature a new satin finish. Premium leather-trimmed seats come with accent color inserts and a unique cloisonné badge.

The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 interior is customized to appeal to the truck buyer who appreciates the attention to detail for which both Ford and Harley-Davidson are renowned.

Sean I've got an idea Ford how about using your high carbon fiber body frame from the Electric Ford focus and put that in a pick up truck while not sacrificing the safety quality of the vehicle and at the same time by reducing the weight of giving it a dramatic increase of fuel economy wouldn't you have to agree with me people of Ford?

Nick When will Ford bring the F150 to Australia? Let alone the HD edition...? I know they tried with the F250 with little to no success but the market over here just doesn't need anything quite that big. We can get the F150 at a six figure sum but it's a rude mark up from the conversion companies that do the steering change overs. Same for the Mustang - It may be a limited market but still profitable surely...! I know Dozens of blokes who would happily trade in there Nissan's (currently the only decent sized pickup for sale in OZ) for a F150 let alone the HD spec truck... Lets go Ford America - be assertive and tell Ford Australia that there is a market place here and we cant rely on the new Ranger due later next year 2011!

P I don't know anyone in the North East that is a bigger Ford Fan than me but I have to admit on this one that I'm not feeling the graphics on the side and hood of the truck. I'm just hoping that they can be peeled off. Other than that I love it and I love what Ford has going on.

Neckbonekat Without a super charger this truck is pointless. That was the most stand out part of the older Harley Davidson editions.

Nick I do like some of the body accents like the slight bulge on the hood, standard 6.2 V8 and the satin chrome detail. Not so much for the decals. id give it a 7 out of 10

Chris Looks great. Do I get one free? That would be even greater!

Jonathan Sorry, Ford, but this is a fail. There's basically nothing on the exterior to indicate it's special (or worth paying $45 grand for) looks like an ugly Platinum edition. And what's with the sparkly stickers?! Did the Ford designers let their 5 year old daughter design this thing? Glad this is a niche model...failure in my opinion.

Rick Try Just a thought, why didn't you the raptor and make a harley version of it, that would have been awsome with the wider bigger wheels the beefer look...

Verona Don't are for the grill.....just feel it is to feminine for that truck. They should have used the wide flat grills like on the 06-09 Super Duty line or even taken it to the Raptor and put that grill in in the satiin to come off of the badging.
