Want to Learn What NVH is? Check Out This Video with Mike Rowe

Shhh. Do you hear that? Andrew Feder might. He recently demonstrated to Mike Rowe how every  2010 Ford Taurus is tested as it leaves the assembly plant in Chicago for noise, vibration and harshness, or NVH in engineering language.

Come for a ride with Feder by viewing the video below to see what we put the Taurus through.

If this NVH conversation has piqued your interest, and you’re wondering how the 2010 Ford Taurus might stack up against a more expensive car. Check this out. We tested the Taurus against the Acura RL for how well cars keep outside noise away from occupants.

More information about the 2010 Ford Taurus is available at www.fordvehicles.com/2010taurus/.

Click here to watch Mike Rowe as he learns how high-tech tools improve quality in the Ford Chicago assembly plant.

TN Very nice video about NVH. I wish someone at the OK plant where my Saturn Aura was built had demonstrated this level of quality assurance. With Ford the only American company producing high quality and running its business without government assistance, you can bet my next car is going to be a Ford.

David Finnegan When we introduced the Fusion Hybrid, we wanted to have a unique color only available on the hybrid. Our designers chose Light Ice Blue as that unique color. This, along with some of the other paint finishes available on Fusion Hybrid, required is to limit the total colors available. We refresh our color lineup each model year and I will suggest to our design team that Red should be considered in the next refresh. Thank you for your feedback. janet feder Great job---Andrew demonstrates the hard work that goes into a Ford product. He should be your spokesman. Why isn't this on TV? You'd sell many more cars

Jim Dickey Mike, Take advantage of the "Plumber Joe" character to promote the E series Vans for service industries. Normally you don't see advertising for the Econoline due to the fact that we have the best van on the market. The cut-a-ways are all over the industry for transit vehicles and emergency response vehicles and U haul. The Van production has dropped like everything else in the industry and therefore I felt that the "Plumber Joe" could be used to promote the Econoline. Thanks for the chance to share my thoughts.

Idesign2 In addition to Dirty Jobs and working with Ford, Mike Rowe started a website as a PR campaign for hard work and skilled labor. The site recently launched a “Trade Resource Center” which is an informative and interactive resource center for people in, or looking to explore the trades. In Mike’s words … “Dirty Jobs has reminded people of a time when hard work was not seen as a thing to avoid – when craftsmanship was lauded, and Master Tradesmen were seen as role models …” Check it out and see what else is happening at … http://www.mikeroweworks.com/mikes-office/

Ford needs to install glove box lights that match the ambient lighting in the rest of the ford taurus. It's very hard to see in the glove box at night or while parked in the garage.
