Some of the great stories posted to Your Stories this week about the love affair that people have with Ford car, trucks, SUVs and crossovers got us thinking about our favorite Ford vehicles. There have been plenty of makes and models to choose from over the long history of the company. So what’s your favorite?
While you ponder that, here’s a look at what was posted to Ford Social this week:
A while back I was watching Ice Road Truckers when they were talking about the EcoBoost F 150 and thought they were full of it when they pulled a stuck semi out of the ice with a 4X4 f150 ecoboost.. well a couple of weeks ago a buddy of mine ran their winnebago motorhome out of gas on the hill outside my house. I maneuvered my F150 ecoboost out of my driveway and hooked up a tow rope to the motorhome, stuck it in drive and pulled. the wheels did not spin the motor did not strain , it just took off like i had no load and pulled the motorhome up the hill to the curb . My wife has always said, “My dream car is a Red Mustang Convertible”. So for her 60th birthday I searched local dealers for this “Dream Car”. I found the last one in So. Cal at Star Ford in Glendale. I talked to the salesman for an hour on the phone to set up the deal for a new 2012. Read more…
High School Memories with My Ford
In high School I owned a Ford Cortina. This was an English Ford they imported for several years. It was the size of a Ford Pinto, had a 4 cyl. engine and 4 speed transmission. I was the “Bus” for my friends and we would pack 6 people in this little car. Everyone on Monday would kick in 50 cents and we would drive for a week on this. It was probably the most fun vehicle i ever owned and developed such an attraction for it that I actually owned 3 of them at the same time. Read more…
This photo was professionally taken this past summer of our three boys sitting on the back of our 1968 Mustang convertible. We have had this car for the past 3 years. The selling feature for us when we bought it was the fact that it was so well built, heavy, and when the doors close there is the crisp sound of metal on metal. Read more…
I was born and raised with Ford cars and trucks. I got my drivers license driving my parents 1966 Thunderbird. Since then I have owned several Ford cars and trucks including 5 different Thunderbird’s.
In 1997 when I heard it would no longer be in production My wife and I went straight to the local Ford dealer and had them locate a Thunderbird with the exact colors and options we wanted. Read more…

Go Inside the SEMA Show with a First-timer’s Perspective
The automotive industry goes on a pilgrimage to Las Vegas each November for one reason: the SEMA Show.
