This Is The Truck That Could

This is the Truck that Could

A while back I was watching Ice Road Truckers when they were talking about the EcoBoost F 150 and thought they were full of it when they pulled a stuck semi out of the ice with a 4X4 f150 ecoboost.. well a couple of weeks ago a buddy of mine ran their winnebago motorhome out of gas on the hill outside my house. I maneuvered my F150 ecoboost out of my driveway and hooked up a tow rope to the motorhome, stuck it in drive and pulled. the wheels did not spin the motor did not strain , it just took off like i had no load and pulled the motorhome up the hill to the curb . Mustang Surprise

Mustang Surprise

My wife has always said, “My dream car is a Red Mustang Convertible”. So for her 60th birthday I searched local dealers for this “Dream Car”. I found the last one in So. Cal at Star Ford in Glendale. I talked to the salesman for an hour on the phone to set up the deal for a new 2012. Read more…

High School Memories With My Ford

High School Memories with My Ford

In high School I owned a Ford Cortina. This was an English Ford they imported for several years. It was the size of a Ford Pinto, had a 4 cyl. engine and 4 speed transmission. I was the “Bus” for my friends and we would pack 6 people in this little car. Everyone on Monday would kick in 50 cents and we would drive for a week on this. It was probably the most fun vehicle i ever owned and developed such an attraction for it that I actually owned 3 of them at the same time. Read more…

Brotherhood Mustang Club

Brotherhood Mustang Club

This photo was professionally taken this past summer of our three boys sitting on the back of our 1968 Mustang convertible. We have had this car for the past 3 years. The selling feature for us when we bought it was the fact that it was so well built, heavy, and when the doors close there is the crisp sound of metal on metal. Read more…

Thunderbird For Life

Thunderbird For Life

I was born and raised with Ford cars and trucks. I got my drivers license driving my parents 1966 Thunderbird. Since then I have owned several Ford cars and trucks including 5 different Thunderbird’s.
In 1997 when I heard it would no longer be in production My wife and I went straight to the local Ford dealer and had them locate a Thunderbird with the exact colors and options we wanted. Read more…

New Features and Upgrades for MyFord Touch

When it comes time to improve a product, who is the best person to get feedback from? That’s right, you! So, research teams at Ford talked to owners about their likes and dislikes of the MyFord Touch®, then went about enhancing the system. Ford customers wanted the technology to be faster, simpler and easier to use. Guess what? It’ll now be faster, simpler and easier to use. Go Inside the SEMA Show with a First-timer’s Perspective

The automotive industry goes on a pilgrimage to Las Vegas each November for one reason: the SEMA Show. The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show is the largest automotive trade show in the world, with nearly 7,000 vendors from every corner and niche of the industry gathered in one place. Well, technically the show takes up three exhibit halls and a few parking lots, and it is the most overwhelming show of any kind I have ever attended! Read more…

The upgraded 2013 Ford Flex isn’t set to officially debut until November 16 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but here’s your first look at the new crossover, which gets a fresh look and loads of technology! Among the changes to the seven-passenger, three-row Flex is a new base engine, a 3.5-liter V6, which makes 285 horsepower (that’s about 20 more horses than the previous engine) and 255 lb.-ft. of torque. Dr. Derriere Knows a Thing or Two about Ford Seat Engineering

Mike Kolich spends a lot of time thinking about seats. For example, how your seat feels when it’s been in a Ford seat for more than an hour. In fact, his nickname inside Ford is Dr. Derriere, and he leads a team of not-so-mad scientists in the quest for seats that combine lighter weight for better vehicle fuel economy, increased comfort and good support. Jim Wakefield My biggest aggravation with Ford is it is the middle of November and THEY STILL HAVEN'T DELIVERED THE 2012 FORD F-150 TRUCKS. I have been forced to buy new tires for my old truck and drive it on a 6500 mile trip I had planned to take with my new truck. Get on the ball and get these trucks out Ford, I NEED MINE NOW!!

Steve A. Hollander Don't be fooled. NO ONE is going to "Look into" your SYNC problems. This is just for PR. Let me know how it works out. There are two kinds of Ford owners: those who have been told "No, we won't honor our own warranty" and those yet to be told. Yeah, I used to love Fords, too. But if they won't honor their warranty (happened twice), I'd be a fool to keep buying them. Who's next, YOU?

Michael Sweeney One thing I think FORD can do is to make an SVT (Sporty) version of the Focus Hatchback. The Focus is 172" long and already has 4-wheel Independent Suspension. Taking the 243 BHp Engine I've seen listed on Consumer reports, or the 263 BHp engine available on the MazdaSpeed3 (along with some Braking & suspension tweaks) would allow FORD to create a sporting SMALL Car - esp. if FORD didn't make the same mistake VW's making with the Gulf-R, Mazda's made with the MazdaSpeed3 & Subaru's made with the WRX and made an Auto Trans (something like the 6-Speed in the GTI would be perfect) optional as it is with the Focus & the Fiesta... i had a Roofing company in the 1980's in Southern Calif and i bought a bunch of trucks from a Fellow Contractor who was going out of Business 6 Chevy trucks 3/4 and 1 ton rated and 1 Ford pickup with 200'000 miles on it ( a 77 F250) over the course of 5 years my Employees beat those trucks in everyday use i replaced engines and transmissions and rear-ends in all of the Chevy trucks and that ford outlasted all of them never having any major repairs.... i was a ford fan for life after that... i sold that ford with 350,000 miles on it and it was still running strong.... i have had Ranger pickups and F250 and F350 trucks since that day never having any major repairs or breakdowns...

Bryan Dixon Dear Ford, I hope you dont do like alot of car companys. Some of them get a real good rating and then fall off. As long as you stay up in the high reliability ratings and build Ford tough trucks then I will always be a customer of yours. Why would anyone buy anything else ?
