Bill demonstrates his undying love for children by supporting Sons of the Fallen, The Darrel Gwynn Foundation, the Make A Wish Foundation as well as many other children’s organizations. He has also donated a scholarship to the University of Georgia. Bill served as a spokesman for the Humane Society of the United States and has twice testified before congress to voice his concern for animal rights.

Bill spends his free time indulging his passion for cars and motorcycles. Currently numbering twenty three vehicles, his collection includes primarily restored American muscle cars. The pinnacle of the collection is his 1970 Boss 429 Lawman Mustang that he brings to each stop in the Ford: Operation Drive one tour. The Lawman was originally campaigned in Vietnam as part of a safe driving program, and he feels especially honored that he and Ford are able to show this piece of automotive history to a new generation of fighting men and women.

Ford launched Operation Drive One to honor the men and women of the military, donating $20 per test drive for the National Military Family Association through Drive one 4 UR Troops. The 10-stop tour was designed to provide U.S. military bases with fun, family entertainment including driving challenges, interactive vehicle displays and classic car shows.
