Idols Get the Keys to Their New Ford Cars

JUL
19

We awarded American Idol finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert brand new rides of their choice at Galpin Ford in North Hills, California (in the San Fernando Valley). Galpin has been the highest-volume Ford dealership for the last 19 years.

The Idols were awarded the vehicles for winning the top two spots on the hit T.V. show. Allen will be handed keys to a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid, while Lambert will receive a 2010 Ford Mustang convertible. Both Idols took a break from rehearsing for their American Idols Live! summer tour concert at Staples Center that evening to see their brand new rides for the very first time!

You can keep up with the tour by visiting the Idols Summer Tour 2009 web site.

Scott Monty Glad to know the original Fiesta was so reliable and served you and your family well, Grace. We're hoping that the current iteration will do just as well. As far as the Fiesta Movement goes, the open application process began in January and ended in March and all 100 agents were selected. At the same time, we're also doing test drives of the Fiesta all around the country until the end of the year. You can check out the full schedule at http://www.fiestamovement.com/ride-and-drive/events Scott Monty Global Digital Communications Ford Motor Company

Grace R. Wilson I bought my 1st Fiesta 29 years ago and drove it for 4+ years than gave it to my Son and I see you are giving young drivers the opportunity of driving the new Fiesta for 6 months. Well, Why not me ? I drove my Fiesta all over the western area of the United States and I might enjoy driving this Fiesta as I would be able to evaluate and operate this new vehicle and enjoy the 40 miles per gallon of gas. I enjoyed driving my Fiesta and it never failed me in all kinds of weather snow in the Reno area and heat in the Phoenix area and mountains and hillsides I was Queen of the road.

Everyone knows that the 5.0 has always been a power plant for the ford mustang, anyone who's owned one could tell you about the low end tourque put out vs the low end of the 4.6. To look back at the pushrod 5.0, you'll see it had a four inch bore for the piston, which gave it that low end umph. Looking at the present dohc modular 5.0 and the power it produces, if it also was equipped with a four inch bore, wouldn't the power outcome be greater????
