The Focus ST Video Ad that Ford Insiders Helped Create
JUN
04

Just a few weeks ago, we invited Ford Insiders to take part in creating a TV commercial for the upcoming 2013 Ford Focus ST. Tanner Foust and Greg Tracy piloted a pair of Focus ST cars down the narrow (and closed) streets that connects the east and west coasts of Florida’s Key West.

The video crew was a crowd of spectators with smartphones and video cameras of all types and sizes. There were places to upload the video content right on the spot, and we put the pieces together to create 30- and 60-second advertising videos for the hot new car. Literally, we couldn’t have done it without you!

In addition, one of our Focus ST uber fans provided a glimpse of what it was like to participate. Check out Wyatt Fletcher’s story, Inside the Filming of the Focus ST Commercial.

If you were there, bask in glory of the finished video. If you weren’t able to attend, enjoy the spectacle of this first-ever spectator-generated commercial and become a Ford Insider so you’ll be among the first to hear of future ways that Ford is inviting you to get involved!

Mikǝ Willis It's fix or repair daily Desmond. But you're a suit so I'll give ya a pass... Found on road dead Is another. I've heard them all in my 35 years being a mechanic. Forf? Ever heard of spell check? I fix Fords. as well as Chevy's, and Dodges. Out of the three. GM is the leader on always being on back order for a lot of parts. They are still paying off vendors with Government (tax payer) money. Won't get any more parts made till they do. Where do you have problems getting Ford parts? Ford pays their vendors, and without taking a bailout. Of course being college educated and all, you probably knew that already...

Bill S Give me an auto with paddle shifting and I'm there. I know. I drive a stick right now but in Chicago traffic, I can't do it anymore. I think I'm going with a gotta have it green mustang instead. Would love one of these, though.

Rick what gets me ford usually does better a 1.6 turbo only 179 hp hyundais is 201 the 2.0 turbo varies 237hp 240hp 252 hp whereas hyundais 274hp wtf always sucking hind t__. comeon ford the genesis is 348hp on v6 that not much behind a 3.5 ecoboost with 365hp and the hyundai isn't even a turbo. i owned a 88 tbird turbo coupe best car ever 5 spd manual i turned up boost it would beat 88 mustang gts heavy car too and a pinto engine not a tech 2.0 so as usual ford gives us what THEY want not what WE want.

Wyatt F The commercial really came out great. I'm slightly bummed that they weren't able to fit all the great action in, but at only 60 seconds, how could they? It is a shame though because they had to leave out some of the very cool obstacles that really showed off the ST's capabilities well. But who knows, maybe there'll be an extended "director's cut" eventually... I'll look forward to it.
