Carl Warmington Michael, it is great that you add your "real life" experience with Ford's MyFordTouch system. It really is troubling to me that such a influential organization like Consumer Report is captained by such a person (David Champion) unashamed to where his blatant bias on his forehead, and make such comments about a domestics new technology. I advise all new Edge and MKX owners that are using the new Touch feature to make your voices heard by sending your personal experiences to Consumer Report. As I understand CR bases their ratings in part by consumers feedback. People like David Champion and his dangerous use of a tool such as Consumer Report to change public perception need to be in a position to explain and defend their findings when in reality it appears most MyFord/Lincoln Touch users are more then satisfied.

Michael cerza I have heard about the upcomming plans for Consumer Reports to not recommend the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX for purchase due to the "My Touch" systems on both of these vehicles. I have recently leased a Ford Edge with the Ford My Touch system and I can say that their is nothing wrong with this system as they have been leading people to believe. It took one day to perfect usage of the system, and when you are first exposed to the technology, it does seem a bit overwealming. After a short time, you master the use of the system, and have nothing but praise for the technology. I was surprised to learn of the negative response from Consumer Reports, and suggest they take another look at the system before slamming Ford. If I can find no fault with the system, being somebody who takes time to understand new technology, then it should be user friendly to most who have some degree of computer knowlege. Anyway, I wanted to let Ford know that the system is great, and not the problematic system described by Consumer Reports. I would be happy to talk with anyone who has some questions concerning this system and set them straight on how effective the system is for concentration on the road. Thank You.
