Ask Ford

Will ford ever build arear wheel drive lincoln like the LS, i have a 2006 V/8 my wife and i love it it averages 25-26mpg hwy

As Lincoln is reinvented, it will make use of FWD and AWD in its first transformational vehicles, including the all-new MKZ sedan that will be introduced later this year.

While we remain open to RWD in the potential long-term, the Lincoln team is focused on exceeding the expectations of luxury buyers regardless of which wheels power the vehicle.

Herman C I really think Lincoln needs RWD cars to be competitive. They are more along the lines of Acura or Buick rather than a true luxury like BMW, Audi, Benz, or even Cadillac. Also I think some Lincoln specific platforms would go a long way, right now too many people see Lincoln as I high trim level on a Ford

Douglas A For the majority of customers not asking for RWD, I sure see alot of requests for it on Ford Social, Especially reviving a Cougar or putting something on the Mustang platform. I also see alot of comments on what the Lincoln line is missing, especially a RWD. Just because we don't "ask" doesn't mean the demand would not be there. Please Lincoln, TRY HARDER!!!!! Thank you!

Scott M Thank you for the feedback, Lakisha. As we said, we're open to it, but the fact is that the majority of customers don't ask for RWD.

Lakisha C I absolutely agree with the Arthur. Hear ye Hear ye Lincoln reinventors... one of the expectations is to have RWD.... Long Live the Lincoln Luxury Sport (the best vehicle I EVER experienced)
